Jane Brook

Jane has 26 years experience in the social service and social work education sector, and group work. She is interested in holistic models of wellness for professionals working with children, young people and their families in social work and other therapeutic environments.

Experience and interests: social work, adult education, advocacy, disability rehabilitation, counselling, specialist skills in working with children, mental health and resilience and holistic wellness.

Qualifications: BSW, MSW (Hons), Massey University, Post-graduate Certificate in Adult Teaching, Carbondale, Illinois.

Diane Brennan

Diane is a member of the New Zealand Association of Counsellors and a Victim Support approved counsellor. She specialises in individual, group and family counselling. Dian supports professionals who work with families and has experience in the area of maternal mental health.

Experience and interests: supporting children, young people and families through change, loss and grief, particularly with families impacted by disability.

Qualifications: Certificate of Supervision, (WELTEC), BA Counselling (WELTEC), BA Liberal Studies/Human Development (California State University, Long Beach), Teaching Credential (California State University Los Angeles), Certificate in Interactive Drawing Therapy (NZ).

Peter Tia

Peter is a member of the New Zealand Association of Counsellors and is a Victim Support approved counsellor. He has a special interest in working with men to stop violence and is a registered Stopping Violence Facilitator.

Experience and Interests: Guidance counselling, supporting and facilitating children and young people affected by change, loss and grief, and mental illness, working with men in stopping violence programmes; and providing cultural clinical supervision.

Qualifications: Diploma in Guidance Counselling, Diploma in Youth Services, Certificate in CPS, Certificate of Clinical Supervision. Peter is currently studying towards his degree in psychotherapy, specialising in Transactional Analysis.
