Reel Brazil 2010, Opening Night - Gala Cocktail Party, Thursday September 9th

Please join us for a glamorous Brazilian party featuring a great film, cocktails and dancing, under the patronage of H.E. Renate Stille, Ambassador of Brazil to New Zealand.

Enjoy the best of Brazilian culture in the heart of Wellington… while helping Skylight provide some magic to the hearts of Kiwi families.

Featuring "Now Boarding"

Take-off to this romantic comedy, set in Rio de Janeiro's International Airport, where two dreamers become friends: a young man who yearns for a better life overseas and an experienced woman longs to relive her days of glory as a singer. (In Portuguese, with English subtitles).

This film will be followed by luscious food and drinks and melodic Brazilian music from Clube de Choro.

Film starts: 6:30pm

A Skylight Night 2010 presents...

Chris Crowe:

Chris Crowe

Chris has made numerous appearances in musical theatre productions, corporate events and on the concert stage through New Zealand and in Australia. He has played some of the most demanding roles in musical theatre including, Jesus (Godspell), Judas, Pontius Pilate (Jesus Christ Superstar), Enjolras (Les Miserables), and most recently John (Miss Saigon), a role he is about to perform for the third time. Chris has also had the pleasure of featuring as a soloist in the Orpheus Choir’s concerts, “Orpheus at the Movies” and “Anything Goes an Evening with Cole Porter”, with members of the Vector Wellington Orchestra under the baton of Michael Fulcher.
Chris is also a member of Epiphany Productions' La Forza, a male pop opera group based in Australia who are highly sought after throughout the corporate market.
