Travellers

Travellers is a small-group programme for Year 9 students to help young people build life skills and develop resilience.

Empowering young people to navigate life’s journey.

Travellers is Skylight's flagship school-based wellbeing programme for Year 9 students. Through the idea that life is a journey, it gives young people a safe space and a small group of peers to explore the changes they are facing, recognise their own strengths, and build resilience that lasts well beyond the programme.

A programme schools trust

For 25 years, Travellers has supported young people across Aotearoa in more than 250 schools. The programme is grounded in Te Whare Tapa Whā and funded by Health New Zealand. An independent evaluation by ImpactLab found that every $1 invested in Travellers returns $3.30 of social good, through improved mental health, stronger engagement at school, and reduced risk-taking.
