The Pathfinders Wellbeing Programme

Overview: The Pathfinders Wellbeing Programme, developed by Skylight, is a FREE initiative for young women and non-binary individuals aged 12 to 16. This low-intervention programme covers psychoeducation (learning), kōrero (discussion and reflections), and artwork, focusing on identity through Whakapapa (Genealogy), Whānau (Family), and Self.

Programme Goals: Funded by the Ministry of Youth Development (MYD), the programme aims to enhance well-being, boost resilience, and empower young people to lead with courage, strength, and confidence.

Achievements:

677 participants from 15 schools

Delivery Options:

  • Small groups (up to 15) at Skylight's office during School Holidays or as a Saturday Programme (full-day programme).
  • Larger groups (up to 25) delivered at Schools, Sports clubs, Community groups, etc.
  • A Two-day programme (3 hours each session) including a 15-minute break.
  • A Full-day programme (6.5 hours) including a 15-minute morning tea break and 30-minute lunch break.

Join us as a Facilitator

Role Requirements: Facilitators will lead modules, guide discussions, run activities, and ensure a safe, welcoming experience. Face-to-face facilitation is required, with training and mentoring provided.

Qualifications: We seek individuals with training or a background in Youth Work, Counselling, Social Work, Education, etc., experience in facilitating and working with rangatahi/young people, and an enthusiastic, passionate attitude.
