Rainbow (LGBTQIA+)

— Skylight Trust

Skylight receive many requests for information and support from young people, whānau and people working with them around Rainbow (LGBTQI+) issues.

For many young people finding out who they are or how they fit in to the world can be made harder by widely assumed social norms. These challenges, and how they’re responded to, can contribute to Rainbow (LGBTQI+) people being at risk of poor mental health because of discrimination and social exclusion.

Where appropriate we provide support through counselling and/or referral to other organisations, and we are developing a wide-ranging set of information for our resource centre. email [email protected]

There are a lot of great resources from other organisations across Aotearoa that you may find helpful - check out our Where to find support page.
