The Skylight team is made up of a Board of Trustees, Patrons, and Skylight staff.


Skylight's services and activities are guided by a committed and experienced Board of Trustees. We are also honoured to have New Zealanders known for their compassion and understanding of others, as Patrons.

Our staff members have many different backgrounds, qualifications and life experiences, to form a strong team. We are committed, hard working and passionate about our work.

Chief Executive - Heather Henare 

Heather was appointed as Chief Executive in February 2015. Heather is a qualified Senior Social Worker and has held positions at Child Youth and Family as a Senior Practice Consultant and Senior Advisory Officer. In her last role, Heather led Women's Refuge for over 10 years.

Skylight is here to help you through difficult times. We can assist you in a variety of ways with information appropriate for your situation. You are welcome to visit us and receive free information and a support pack from our resource centre and borrow books from the specialist library. We also facilitate Professional Development training and offer Counselling support services for children, young people, family/whānau and individuals who are experiencing tough times.
